Great River Houseboat Rentals at Alma Marina offer recreational house boats that comfortably sleep from 2 to 10 guests. Our boats are 36 to 59 feet in length and designed for enjoyable Mississippi River vacationing. We also rent pontoons.

About the Alma Marina

Alma Marina is a friendly, full service marina.  We are located at mile marker 754 in Alma, Wisconsin just above lock and dam #4.  We have a ship store with boating supplies, water, pop, candy and ice.

We have mechanics on staff in our shop for all your boating needs. We have the ability to handle boats up to 60′ in length. We have transient slips available. Our entrance is at mile marker 754. Our slips have water and electricity available with convertible power of 30-50 amps. Our marina hosts boats slips up to 50 feet.  We offer annual slip contracts with winter storage available on land.

Alma Marina
Enjoy the tennis courts, playground, picnic areas or swimming in the Mississippi River at our swimming beach.  The boat launch is open to the public. The most popular time to visit is during the summer, when people come for outdoor recreation and activities such as fishing, boating and camping. Many events and festivals occur during this time, as well as during the fall when the leaves change colors.

Weather Information 
Summers tend to be clear and warm with temperatures averaging 76 degrees.  Spring and Fall offer lower humidity with warm, sunny days and cool evenings for campfires and great sleeping.

Pool #4
Pool 4 has spectacular bluffs, secluded sand beaches and boating on the largest pool on the Upper Mississippi River between locks. Quaint river towns along the way offer a wide array of services, restaurants and river town activities.

Alma, WI

You will find quaint shops lining Main Street from end to end. Looking for restaurants? The Alma area has restaurants ranging from burgers to the greatest breakfast on the river while you watch a tow locking through. Buena Vista Park is a must see before you leave the area with spectacular views from hundreds of feet above Alma. Bring your picnic lunch and capture photos of eagles soaring as you look for miles up and down the great Mississippi River Valley.

Wabasha, MN

7 miles from Alma Marina – Temporary docking at the city dock – just steps away from the National Eagle Center. The Parkside Marina has overnight slips available (Please call ahead to confirm they have a transient slip available for you). Call Scheels Super Valu for a pickup and drop off for your grocery needs.

Pepin, WI

13 miles from Alma Marina – located at the South end of Lake Pepin – For a transient slip call Pepin Marina (715-442-4900)ahead to confirm they have a transient slip available for you. Lake City, MN

19 miles from Alma Marina – located about midway through Lake Pepin. Lake City has a large municipal marina. The marina is within walking distance for any of your needs. (Please call ahead to confirm they have a transient slip available for you).
